"This 31st edition of the Pontevedra Biennial under the title "Utrópicos", addresses Central America and the Caribbean as interconnected regions, assuming and deepening the thematic model to convert it into a tool of archive and synthesis. The Biennial´s principal objective is as much to make visible in an articulate manner the diverse aspects of the artistic scene, as to to draw close the public to the different socio cultural contexts of the region."
